iCarly is a TV show on Nickelodeon about three best friends, Carly, Sam, and Freddie, who have one of the most popular web shows on the web! Here's how iCarly got started:
Sam (Jennette McCurdy) took Miss Briggs' (Mindy Sterling) head and put it on a rhinoceros' body. Then Sam put up copies of it all over the school, Ridgeway. Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) took the blame for Sam.
Miss Briggs' punishment for Carly was to tape the talent show auditions on a Saturday. Since it was Sam's fault, she made Sam go with her, and Freddie came with his camera. Between auditions, Sam and Carly were joking around and Freddie (Nathan Kress) recorded them. Later that night when Freddie put the video on SplashFace (the video sharing website on iCarly) for Miss Briggs to see, they found out that Freddie uploaded Carly and Sam. Tons of people commented on the video saying that they wanted to see more of Carly and Sam because they were funny.
They decided to give them more like they requested, by making a webshow.
